bakaNgomane of Hhoyi
baka Ngomane of Hhoyi, are found in the Komatipoort area of Nkomazi Municipality in the Enhlanzeni District of Mpumalanga Province. Each component of the Clan is administered separately under a traditional leader.
Identification and succession is based on the customary laws of succession in traditional leadership. Namely, a traditional leader is not elected or appointed, rather, is determined by a procedure implemented by the respective Royal Family.
The Hhoyi Traditional Council is a community driven institution based in Nkomazi. We strive to empower our people by creating job opportunities, economic development solutions and contribution that improve their day to day living.
The bakaNgomane people have for a long time been an independent community, governing themselves in their own culture, which through contact with the Swazis, became dominated by the Swazi language.
Inkosi Hhoyi II sits as the Leader and Chairperson of the Hhoyi Traditional Council. The bakaNgomane Kingdom is led by the Inkosi Hhoyi Ngomane II, We are a community driven Traditional institution based in Nkomazi leading under The Hhoyi Traditional Council.
The Royal family is dedicated in its leadership, responsibilities and chieftaincy to the community of Hhoyi, Nkomazi and Enhlazeni. We also participate in various projects to empower the community and keep the spirit of Ubuntu and traditions alive.
MADIBA HONOURED - UMMEMO 2013
The Baka Ngomane Royal family is known to hold cultural and traditional events at the Odiweni Royal Kraal.
Such as the annual cultural festival (Ummemo) in honour of the former president, Mr Nelson Mandela, who is also of royalty.

Premier David Mabuza has time and again emphasized the importance of traditional leaders in society and under his administration, traditional leaders have even received huge recognition and a smooth sailing working relationship with government, especially the department of COGTA.
“Through the Ummemo we are hoping to not only inspire our people to remember what it means to be African, but also to recover and preserve our heritage. This is also a celebration of who we are as Africans,” said Hhoyi Ngomane II.

BAKANGOMANE ARE A TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION WHICH OBSERVES A SYSTEM OF CUSTOMARY LAW AND IS RECOGNIZED BY LAW CONTEMPLATED IN SECTION 211 OF THE CONTITUTION OF THE REPLUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA, 1996 (Act No. 108 of 1996) .

We Sponsor and support the Hhoyi Stimulation Centre
We sponsor a Winter Program for the community and provide necessities.
